Troy, MI On Wednesday, April 11th at the Bismarck Municipal Country Club, Fortis Energy Services received the North Dakota Safety Council’s Workplace Safety Merit Award at the NDSC’s 2018 Spring Safety & Health Awards Banquet.
The NDSC's awards program honors member companies with outstanding safety programs; employees and instructors who make safety a top priority; and those who have gone above and beyond to improve safety in their workplaces and the communities they serve. Receiving the Safety Merit Award is another example of Fortis’ unwavering commitment to ensuring workplace safety throughout the organization.
“Being recognized by the North Dakota Safety Council is a great achievement that we’re very proud of.” said Nathan Conway, Fortis’ Chief Executive Officer. “As the industry has recovered our activity levels have increased which typically increases exposure and vulnerability in a company’s safety performance; however, we have proven our dedication to safety by continuing to have above average operational safety.”
Fortis’ Mission ZERO is not about improving our statistical HSE performance, it is about our organization making a genuine commitment to operating each day incident and injury free. It means that during every task of every day, we strive to perform our operations with ZERO harm to our people, our environment and our assets.
